Privacy Policy

Last updated July 16, 2026

The short version

ONSITE NOW shows live reports from people who are physically at a place. To do that, we check your phone's location at the moment you post— we use it to confirm you're there, and we don't save those coordinates. Your reports, username, and any photos you attach are public. We don't sell your data, we don't run ads, and we don't use any tracking or analytics services. You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app at any time.

Who we are

ONSITE NOW ("we") operates the ONSITE NOW app and website at onsitenow.live. If you have questions about this policy or your data, email pascalspagna@gmail.com.

What we collect

Location — the important part

ONSITE NOW only works if reports genuinely come from people on-site, so when you post, reply, or check in, your device sends its current coordinates to our server. We use them to measure your distance from the place and confirm you're within about 500 metres of it.

We do not store those coordinates. They're used for that check and discarded. What we keep is which place you posted at — the same thing everyone can already see on your post. We do not track your location in the background, and we can't: the app only asks for your location while you're using it.

The one place we retain something location-derived is your signup postal code, described above. Your browser or phone can revoke location access at any time, though you won't be able to post without it.

What's public

Your username, your reports and replies, their vote scores, the place and time, and any photo or video you attach are visible to everyone — including people who aren't signed in. Uploaded photos and videos are served from a public web address, so treat anything you attach as public. Don't post anything you wouldn't want seen.

Your email address and postal code are never shown to other users.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data or share it for advertising. We use a small number of service providers to run the app:

We may also disclose information if we're legally required to, or to investigate abuse of the service.

What we don't do

How long we keep it

Posts stop being "live" after 2 hours and drop out of the feed after 24 hours, but they remain in our database until you delete your account or the post. Your account information is kept until you delete your account. Backups and server logs may persist for a short period afterwards before being overwritten.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time: open your profile (the "You" tab), tap the menu (☰) on your profile header, and choose Delete account. This immediately and permanently removes your login, profile, postal code, posts, replies, votes, and uploaded photos and videos. It cannot be undone, and we can't recover it afterwards.

If you'd rather we did it for you, email pascalspagna@gmail.com from your account's email address.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to how we use it. The delete option above covers deletion instantly; for anything else, email us and we'll respond.

Children

ONSITE NOW isn't intended for anyone under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we'll remove it.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top, and we'll tell you in the app if the change is significant.
